The mainframe operating system for servers based on SPARC64 architecture
Its functionality has been enhanced with additional system support software products. OSD/XC V2.2 is the current operating system version, BS2000/OSD-BC V6.0, ported to the SX servers based on SPARC64 architecture. OSD/XC unlocks unlimited BS2000/OSD functionality for the SX server class. Existing customer applications run as object-compatible code on the SX servers under OSD/XC.
OSD/XC - The new consolidation dimension for mainframes OSD/XC brings mainframe functionality and mainframe quality to the SX servers. In combination with the SX servers, it provides improved coexistence with the Solaris environment and offers new consolidation options for e-business infrastructures. With its support for Fibre Channel, OSD/XC considerably increases BS2000 I/O connectivity. Seamless integration into storage area networks (SANs) additionally underscores the strategy of openness with BS2000/OSD.
