| The Symmetrix DMX800 model introduces the first modular, rack-mount version of Symmetrix-or of any high-end storage system-for an economic entry point into high-end capabilities and advantages. |
| The DMX800 fits in an standard 19-inch frame and enables complete configuration flexibility and freedom by adding additional capacity and connectivity as they're needed. The DMX800 can be configured with from 20 to 120 drives for a total raw capacity of up to 17.5TB. It includes 16 2Gbit/s Fibre Channel drive ports, 16 2Gbit/s Fibre Channel I/O ports, and from 8 to 64 GB of cache. System expansion is achieved within the storage processor enclosure and by adding additional disk expansion chassis, up to the limits described. |

It can be installed outside the data center and does not require raised-floor or dedicated-cooling considerations.
