| | LTO SAS Tape Drive | |
Entry backup device into LTO-4 |
| The performance and reliability of the LTO tape drive meet current and future requirements for a state-of-the-art backup drive. The successful path taken in the tape storage sector is continued with the fourth generation of the Linear Tape Open (LTO) standardized drive technology. |
| The new desktop tape drive with SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) interface offers the most current, future-proof standard for high data transfer rates and trouble-free transmission. The desktop tape drive is therefore an entry-level component into the LTO-4 technology and is particularly suitable for backup and time-critical applications that require rapid data transfer. The LTO technology offers a very high investment protection. LTO-4 drives are read-and write-compatible. LTO-4 drives can read LTO-2 and LTO-3 cartridges and rewrite LTO-3 cartridges in LTO-3 format. The tape drive can be attached to various open system servers via the SAS interface. |
