dear readers

In 1999, Siemens transferred all of its European computer business activities to Fujitsu Siemens Computers. The decision to join forces with Fujitsu, a leading global IT company, has proven to be a good one. As a shareholder, we are very pleased that Fujitsu Siemens Computers is developing positively and is growing stronger year by year.

Information and communication is one of our most important business areas. Siemens is a world leader in all key information and communications technologies, products and services. With these technologies increasingly converging, Fujitsu Siemens Computers has become the fourth pillar of our Information and Communication area, alongside Siemens ICM, ICN and SBS.

For this reason, we are working together closely at the interface of information and communication. For example, in the area of Mobility, Fujitsu Siemens Computers and ICM have highly complementary competencies.

In addition, we support each other as partners for our joint customers. Many Siemens groups integrate IT platforms from Fujitsu Siemens Computers into their solutions and customer projects. Conversely, Fujitsu Siemens Computers relies on SBS to add value for its customers with their service and support capabilities. Our customers benefit from this close co-operation, which provides them with seamlessly integrated solutions.
