Fiscal 2005/2006 was a year of exceptional achievements and strong innovation at Fujitsu Siemens Computers. Now firmly positioned on the profitable growth path, we achieved an 11 percent year-on-year rise in revenue to post an all-time high of 6.65 billion euros. IDC ¹ shows that the general market in fiscal 2005/2006 grew by 8.3 percent only. Profit before tax (PBT) also set a new record at 121 million euros, up 27 percent on the previous year. Consequently, we have doubled our PBT over the past two years despite the ongoing drop in market prices. Year-on-year unit shipments were up 20 percent. We have always kept a sharp eye on operating expenses and this year was no exception. Despite investments in sales and services to help fuel our impressive growth, we kept operating expenses almost flat and maintained a steady payroll.
