Locked system |
Using Systemlock 1 (integrated in most LIFEBOOKs) or Systemlock 2 (integrated in all deskbound Business Clients), the system stays inaccessible until a Smartcard or SmartCase USB Token (only Systemlock 2) is connected and a PIN is entered.

Unlock system with Fingerprint |
The most convenient way to authenticate on system startup is to just wipe your finger over the fingerprint reader. Combined with excellent security, provided by SmartCard all LIFEBOOKs and ESPRIMO Mobile can be well protected, without inconveniencing the user. (Coming 2008)

Owner information on startup |
| Enter up to 254 characters to tell a possible finder to whom your system belongs. Insert your name, phone number and even your email address. Your information will be displayed on every system start and during Systemlock and/or BIOS authentication procedures and can only be erased by authenticated system administrators. |
